Thripadi - a poetic style in Kannada literature

(Chandombudhi)

Nagavarma I, was a prominent kannada poet n writer of 10th century.
in his prosodic work  "Chandombudhi", he explains the characteristics of each style of poetry - like kanda_padya, Shatpadi, thripadi etc...

the above verse describes the characteristics of "Thripadi".
in kannada, 'bisaruha' means lotus. the one born in lotus is Bramha (bisaruhOdbhava).
'rasa' represents the number 6 (related to food, there are 6 rasa' s - sweet, sour, bitter etc)
dasha - means 10.
so, in a thripadi, bramhagana ( a group of letters in a specific format) comes at 6th & 10th places (rasa-dasha sthaanadoL).
bisaruha_nethra means Vishnu.
Vishnu_gana(again, a set of letters in a predefined format) will be present in all other places of the 3 lines in a thripadi (except 6th & 10th places).
there will be a total of 11 gana's in a thripadi - 2 bramha_gana's & 9 vishnu_gana's.

I dono how to appreciate the immense talent of this poet. in just 3 lines he gives so much information.. I have no words ..

the structure of a Thripadi :

Vi | Vi | Vi | Vi
Vi | Br | Vi | Vi
Vi | Br | Vi
